Closure of the Lumière Institute and Lumière Cinémas
Dear friends, dear moviegoers,
Due to the latest health measures announced by public authorities, the Lumière Institute is closing its doors and its activities (movie theatres, museum, galleries, bookstore, café) on Friday, October 30th for a period of one month. The “Best of” series of the Lumière festival and the Cinémas du Sud festival are therefore cancelled.
We will soon communicate conditions for extending subscriptions and refunding cancelled screenings.
We will keep you informed of developments on our websites and social media, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our locations.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Annual closure: 25 December, 1 January, 1 May
Visits without a guide - Musée Lumière
Reduced rate: €7 (Reduction upon presentation of proof for those under 18 / over 60 / job seekers / students and school groups / teachers / disabled visitors and the person accompanying them)
Subscribers / works council: €5
Groups (from 7 persons) / large families: €6.50
Admission to the Musée Lumière is free for the following visitor categories. Proof of entitlement required:
Children under 7, Club Lumière, press card holders, Lyon City Card, combined TCL card, Carte M'ra
Audio guides : €3, in addition to the entrance fee
Commentaries available in French, adult and children’s version (7/12 years), English, German, Italian and Spanish.
Guided tours for individual visitors: €3 in addition to the entrance fee to the Musée Lumière.
